Seeking help with your mental health can be intimidating and maybe even a little scary – but it doesn’t have to be. Here at Every Rose Psychiatry, we are here to listen, understand, and work together toward the ultimate goal of getting you back to feeling like you. You will have questions – ask them! We’ll navigate every challenge as a team. We provide psychiatric medication management and holistic mental healthcare services for ages 4 through 65 primarily in the Greater Tampa Bay Area including Lutz, Land O Lakes, Wesley Chapel, and Carollwood – but spanning throughout the state of Florida. Our team here at Every Rose Psychiatry understands that every person is different, which means treatment that works for one person may not work for the next. This is why we are excited to announce that we are now offering SPRAVATO® (esketamine) nasal spray treatment. SPRAVATO® is FDA-approved and is used to help those with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health disorders. We are also pleased to have the opportunity to begin offering TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) for treatment resistant depression. TMS is a non-invasive brain treatment that uses small magnetic pulses to help stimulate nerve cells. TMS primarily treats depression (although has increasing evidence for indications such anxiety, OCD, and substance use disorders) and is great for those who haven’t had much luck with traditional pharmacological treatment options (medications). Thank you for considering us to help you along your journey of life and please do not hesitate to reach out!
Clearwater's TMS options sit along two of its busiest roads. You will find 3 Clearwater TMS offices in our directory: one on US 19 North in the Countryside area, one nearby on Enterprise Road, and one on Gulf to Bay Boulevard, the main route east toward the Courtney Campbell Causeway and Tampa. Patients come from Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor, Largo, and Oldsmar.
TMS rarely stands alone. Most people keep their current antidepressant and keep talking with a counselor while they go through treatment. Therapy can help you put to use the energy and focus that may return as mood improves. Your provider checks for prescriptions that could lower the seizure threshold and may coordinate with your other doctors so everyone knows the plan.
After the main series of about 36 sessions, some people taper off over a few weeks. Others return later for maintenance sessions if symptoms start to come back. There is no single rule, and insurance coverage for maintenance varies. Talk with your provider about how they watch for early signs of relapse and what a repeat course would look like for you.
Pinellas County gets busier in winter, when seasonal residents fill US 19 and traffic on Gulf to Bay slows. If you split the year between Florida and up north, plan your course for a stretch when you will be here the whole time, since gaps can slow progress. PSTA buses serve both US 19 and Gulf to Bay Boulevard, and summer afternoon storms are worth planning around too.
Pinellas County residents raise Depression, ADHD, OCD, Anxiety, PTSD, and Bipolar. FDA clearance centers on depression, and especially on cases where drug treatment did not bring relief. Other uses vary by machine, and the provider checks whether you qualify once they evaluate you.
Yes, if you can stay for the full course. A standard plan means Monday-to-Friday visits for around six weeks. Starting soon after you arrive in the fall or winter leaves time to finish before you head north. Tell the clinic your travel dates on your first call.
Medicare may pay for depression care with TMS once its criteria are satisfied, such as trying several medications first. Florida Medicaid, through the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care program, and TRICARE for families tied to MacDill Air Force Base may also apply. Florida Blue and Medicare Advantage rules differ, so let the clinic confirm what your plan pays.
Some people do. Many feel the benefit last, while others need a short booster or maintenance plan if symptoms come back. Your provider will talk with you about warning signs and how to return quickly if you need to, and your plan may need a new approval.
Yes, a mild headache or sore scalp is the most frequent side effect, especially in the first week. It often eases as treatment goes on. Seizures are very uncommon. You are awake throughout, and you can drive home along US 19 or Gulf to Bay right after.
