Kristen Sciarra, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Kristen Sciarra is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program and has extensive experience as a behavioral health nurse, emergency department nurse, and paramedic, serving her community for over 25 years. Kristen believes PMHNPs play an increasingly critical role in reshaping perceptions of mental health care and closing gaps in access to services. She is deeply passionate about supporting and treating vulnerable populations while reducing barriers to high-quality mental health care.

Kristen values collaborative, team-based care and emphasizes a comprehensive, holistic therapeutic approach, with a strong commitment to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health treatment. The most rewarding aspect of Kristen’s career is the meaningful relationships she builds with patients and their families. Being entrusted with patients’ vulnerabilities and partnering with them on their path to healing is a profound privilege that Kristen does not take for granted.
