Doctor Bota is a board-certified psychiatrist and a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. As a psychiatrist, he has a broad background in diagnosing and treating mental illness and major depressive disorder. His career has spanned both academic and private psychiatry practices. In his most recent position, he served as the director of the Medical Psychiatry Unit at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Bota has published over 60 articles and book chapters and has given over 100 presentations at national and international psychiatry conferences. In his pursuit of advanced, novel psychiatric treatments, Dr. Bota has studied transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) at Harvard University and at the University of South Carolina. He started and led the first TMS program at UC Irvine and is now proud to lead BrainHealth Solutions in Costa Mesa.
Anew Era TMS & Psychiatry is a Full Suite Mental Health clinic. We offer Therapy, Medication Management, and TMS Treatment. We believe that timely psychiatric appointments are critical to best patient care. Therefore, we strive to schedule appointments within 3-14 days. We currently have 3 Licensed Psychiatrists, 6 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, PAs, and 6 Therapists on staff waiting to serve your patients. We strongly believe that money should not be a barrier to accessing mental health care, so we take most insurances, except for Medicaid. Lastly, we are committed to raising the bar in psychiatric care services by always providing excellent customer service from the first point of contact.
At TruCare TMS, our mission is to help patients regain back their lives, and overcome chronic major depression after failing pharmaceutical options. Our physicians are members of the Clinical TMS Society, trained and certified to conduct Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatments, to target major depressive disorder and other mental illnesses, using the most advanced, FDA approved Neurostar TMS.
