Meaning that you have tried medications, therapy, or counseling and despite those efforts, you are still experiencing negative symptoms. · TMS is a non-invasive treatment. · TMS requires no anesthesia. Patients can drive to and from the appointment. · TMS has no systemic side effects. · TMS is an FDA-approved therapy for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and smoking cessation. · Most major insurance carriers will cover 70-100 percent of the treatment cost. When a person is experiencing depressive symptoms, neurons that are involved with mood are dormant or not operating at their full capacity.
