Tamra Johnson

Overview

Tamra Johnson is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over a decade of experience. Her interest in psychiatry began when working as a nurse in a primary care setting. She saw how many people struggled with anxiety and depression symptoms without much help. She was connected to these patients and their stories. As a result, she decided she wanted to be in a place where she could help ease their suffering.

Tamra specializes in working with patients who suffer from depression, anxiety, ADHD, and Bipolar disorder. She also works with both adolescents and adults. With her interest in integrative psychiatry, she wants to explore treatment options with each patient to get them the relief they need. Tamra agrees with our belief that mental health care is not a one-size-fits-all solution. There are a number of alternative treatments that can be customized to each patient. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy and esketamine treatments can be used with medication management to meet patients’ unique needs. In fact, she has had several patients experience success with such alternative treatment plans.

Tamra Johnson would describe her work style as very collaborative. She wants to understand each patient’s unique story to best help them move in their journey to wellness. She is excited to work somewhere that values patients first, and she can’t wait to help patients find relief and success.
