Overview

Sevon Taroian is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, OCD, and a wide range of mental health challenges. He creates a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel welcomed, understood, and actively involved in their healing process. Sev believes that therapy is most effective when it is a partnership— “teamwork in the dream work”—and works closely with clients to help them achieve their goals and find relief from symptoms.

Sev has been a therapist for nearly a decade and has helped clients of all ages from children to older adults. His personal experience with OCD gives him unique insight and empathy for those managing obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. He specializes in treating anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, trauma, and complex mental health concerns, while also supporting individuals with depression, attachment issues, family and relationship challenges, life transitions, parenting, sexuality, and self-esteem. He provides therapy to culturally diverse populations, including Armenian-speaking clients, and emphasizes sensitivity to each individual’s background and identity.

His therapeutic approach is integrative, tailored to the needs of each client. Sev utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Internal Family Systems, trauma-focused therapy, mindfulness-based and body-centered practices, family systems approach, and psychedelic integration. He also incorporates solution-focused, strength-based, and person-centered techniques to help clients address immediate challenges while building long-term coping strategies and resilience.

Sev is committed to helping clients stop the sources of their symptoms, reduce fear and worry, and develop practical tools to regain control over their lives.
