Princess Mckenzie

Overview

Growing up in the Philippines, Princess Mckenzie noticed that the stigma towards people with mental illness was rampant. When entering healthcare, she chose psychiatry because she wanted to make a difference in battling the negativity of mental illness and the suffering she saw. She wanted to be a part of helping society normalize seeking treatment and break the stigma that comes with having a mental illness.

She sees each patient as unique and has different needs. First and foremost, she listens to her patients, seeing them as a person first and then a patient. From there it helps create a treatment plan focused on their individual needs. As a nurse practitioner, she vows to give her best to each patient that she encounters, helping them get better and have an improved quality of living.

Princess Mckenzie is drawn to a mission of serving people who have failed or may not be suitable for traditional medicine and psychotherapy. She is interested in the ability to incorporate modern treatments such as
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and esketamine nasal spray into her practice. For her, these treatments are great options for those who have treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. Additionally, they are good alternatives for people who are not able to tolerate medication side effects. Plus, they are both well studied, effective, and covered by insurance companies, which makes them cost-effective and accessible to more patients.
