Overview

Jenessa Hadzic, LCSW is a therapist at Relief Mental Health in Northbrook, Ill., offering both in-person and virtual psychotherapy for adults ages 18 and older. She has more than seven years of experience in caring for patients with depression, anxiety, life transitions and other mental health issues.

Jenessa knows that unwanted anxious thoughts can feel debilitating, scary, and even isolating. She works alongside her clients throughout the journey to regain control of their headspace by challenging and reframing defeating thoughts and patterns. Providing a safe, empathic, and validating space is her highest priority when partnering to reach goals. Jenessa helps individuals identify their strengths, discover possibilities for change, and promote healing.

Jenessa utilizes several evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness. She recognizes the strength and vulnerability it can take to reach out for support and she wants her patients to know it will be worthwhile. She considers it a privilege to aid her patients in navigating the change they are seeking out of therapy.

Jenessa earned her Master’s degree in social work from Loyola University in Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in social work from Northeastern Illinois University. She joined Relief in 2023 and resides in a north suburb of Chicago with her husband and toddler. In her free time, Jenessa enjoys going on walks and to the park with her husband and son, and spending time with friends and family.

Jenessa works with an extraordinary team of therapists and medical providers, who can offer additional services such as medication management, psychedelic therapy (SPRAVATO® esketamine), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for individuals suffering from depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and more.
