Gavin Dawson, PA-C

With a strong foundation in emergency medicine, hospital-based care, integrative medicine, and the emerging field of psychedelic medicine, Gavin Dawson brings a unique and comprehensive perspective to mental health treatment. He is a board-certified Physician Assistant and the Director of Clinical & Medical Operations at Stella Mental Health. He thrives in collaborative, patient-centered care and is dedicated to empowering individuals to take charge of their mental and physical well-being.

Gavin’s ability to build trust and connect authentically with patients is informed by over a decade of teaching and practicing medicine in more than 15 countries across five continents. He specializes in translating complex medical treatments into understandable, actionable plans, helping patients feel confident and engaged in their care.

Gavin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Physiology and Neuroscience with honors from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Master’s in Clinical Health Services (Physician Assistant) from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed his Capstone Thesis on ketamine and its emerging role in the treatment of mental health disorders and continues to serve as a ketamine researcher, specializing in advanced interventional treatments such as ketamine-assisted therapy and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). He is also trained in Psychedelic First Aid and continues to advance his expertise in ketamine-assisted therapy.

At Stella Mental Health, Gavin develops and oversees individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, fostering a holistic, integrative environment that empowers patients to achieve their mental health goals. His clinical focus includes treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other complex psychiatric conditions. When he is not advancing mental health care, Gavin enjoys outdoor adventures including skiing, surfing, climbing, practicing yoga, and traveling the world.
