Dr. Eugene Lipov, MD
Overview
Dr. Eugene Lipov is a board-certified anesthesiologist, pain medicine specialist, and internationally recognized innovator in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Widely regarded as a pioneer of the stellate ganglion block (SGB) for trauma-related symptoms, Dr. Lipov has spent more than three decades advancing interventional approaches that help regulate the body’s stress response and improve quality of life for individuals living with severe anxiety, trauma, and post-traumatic stress injuries (PTSI).
Through his clinical and research work, Dr. Lipov helped develop the Dual Sympathetic Reset (DSR), an advanced two-level stellate ganglion block protocol designed to “reset” the sympathetic nervous system. This approach may help reduce hyperarousal, intrusive symptoms, and the physiological overactivation characteristic of PTSD, allowing patients to experience meaningful relief even after long-standing suffering. His work has influenced clinicians, researchers, and policy leaders worldwide and has been featured in prominent medical, academic, and international forums.
Dr. Lipov’s dedication to trauma care is rooted in personal experience. Having grown up in a family deeply impacted by PTSD and depression, he understands the profound toll that untreated trauma can have on individuals and those who love them. This perspective continues to shape his mission: to develop, refine, and expand access to evidence-based treatments to restore hope and healing.
As the Chief Medical Officer of Stella Mental Health, Dr. Lipov oversees clinical innovation, research development, and the advancement of interventional treatments across Stella’s national network.
