Overview

Dr. Sorina Simion-Rodgers is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than three decades of experience delivering thoughtful, compassionate care across inpatient, outpatient, geriatric, and community mental health settings, as well as in medical leadership. She is known for combining deep clinical experience with genuine compassion and a steadfast commitment to helping patients achieve meaningful, lasting improvement in their mental health. Her approach blends clinical rigor with warmth, insight, and respect for the complexity of each individual’s mental health journey.

She has particular expertise in treating complex and treatment-resistant mental health conditions and has experience with advanced psychiatric interventions, including ECT, TMS, ketamine-based treatments, and functional medicine. Dr. Simion-Rodgers is passionate about offering comprehensive, evidence-based care that restores hope and improves quality of life, particularly for patients who have not found sufficient relief through conventional treatment alone.

Dr. Simion-Rodgers received medical training in both Romania and the United States, with specialization in Family Medicine and Psychiatry. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Virginia and Long Island Jewish Medical Center and pursued additional fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry. In the early 2000s, she expanded her clinical perspective through additional study in hormonal health, functional and integrative medicine, intravenous medicine, and energy-based interventions. Her career has spanned a wide range of treatment settings, giving her a broad and deeply informed perspective that continues to shape her patient-centered approach to care.
