Overview

Maurice Fiedel is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience across a variety of nursing and psychiatric settings. Over his career, he has worked in psychiatry, oncology, palliative care, medical intensive care, hospice, and home health. While much of his psychiatric experience has focused on adolescents, Maurice also has years of experience supporting adults and enjoys working with clients across the lifespan. He is known for his ability to build rapport quickly and create a supportive, collaborative environment for all patients.

Maurice approaches care from a patient-centered, holistic perspective. He believes that mental health challenges are not always disorders but can be natural manifestations of underlying imbalances. His treatment plans combine traditional evidence-based practices with integrative, holistic strategies to achieve optimal outcomes. His approach incorporates mindfulness-based techniques, person-centered care, sleep hygiene education, rest and relaxation practices, and lifestyle guidance to support whole-person wellness.

He works with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, grief, trauma, social anxiety, autism testing, life transitions, prenatal/postpartum mental health, parenting, sexuality, and stress management. Maurice is dedicated to helping each client find balance, resilience, and meaningful progress in their life.

Maurice earned his master’s degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from Maryville University, alongside a master’s degree in Business and Healthcare Administration. He also served in the United States Navy, which inspired his enduring passion for supporting the veteran community. His clinical philosophy emphasizes the mind-body connection and considers how physical, emotional, and environmental factors interact in overall health and healing.
