Overview

Dr. Julie Bauserman earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Utah in May 2024, driven by a lifelong passion for supporting others in their health and well-being. Before becoming a registered nurse in 2009, she worked as a massage therapist and instructor for several years. Since then, she has gained extensive experience across various healthcare settings, including neurology, where she specialized as a palliative care nurse and peer debriefer, telemetry, and public health, where she co-developed a harm reduction program and a peer recovery support group. In addition to her civilian work, Dr. Bauserman proudly served as a chief nurse in the Utah National Guard.

Dr. Bauserman is eager to work with clients ranging from ages 5 to 65 and brings a wealth of experience from both outpatient and day treatment settings. She has a special focus on youth who have experienced trauma, as well as individuals and families navigating complex mental health challenges. One of her most meaningful projects was leading a needs assessment on Anticipatory Grief Support for caregivers of medically complex children—an endeavor close to her heart, as it highlighted the critical need for emotional support in this community. Recently, her passion has expanded to psychedelic-assisted therapy, where she has witnessed its profound healing potential.

Believing that collaboration is key to addressing mental health challenges, Dr. Bauserman takes an integrative approach that considers the psychological, physical, and social dimensions of well-being. She explores factors such as diet, nutrition, exercise, sleep, social support, therapies, and medication management to provide comprehensive care.
