Gabriel Heaton is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a deep-rooted commitment to holistic and compassionate mental health care. With advanced training from Western Governors University and a nursing foundation built at the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College, Gabriel brings a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to psychiatric treatment across a wide range of mental health conditions.

He has extensive clinical experience in inpatient psychiatry, crisis intervention, and psychopharmacology, and specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. Gabriel is known for his calm presence, clinical insight, and ability to meet patients wherever they are in their healing journey.

His practice integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and person-centered therapy with a focus on comprehensive medication management. Grounded in both clinical rigor and spiritual sensitivity, Gabriel works primarily with adults and older adults, and is particularly passionate about addressing the unique needs of men’s mental health.
Patients appreciate Gabriel’s down-to-earth approach and the trust he builds through honesty, empathy, and deep listening. He believes in treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and is committed to helping individuals find resilience, meaning, and sustainable change.

Outside of his clinical work, Gabriel recharges by spending time in nature with his family. He enjoys hiking, camping, and fly fishing, and finds purpose in supporting others as they strengthen their emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
