Dr. Mari Asper, MD Psychiatrist in Charleston, SC

Dr. Mari Asper is double board-certified in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, with over a decade of experience since beginning her practice in 2012. She earned her medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed her General Psychiatry Residency, followed by a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she was honored to serve as Chief Fellow.

In addition to her work at Tricounty Behavioral Health, Dr. Asper also contributes her expertise as a psychiatric consultant to Purpose SC Group Home and volunteers at Harvest Free Medical Clinic.

Dr. Asper is dedicated to working with patients of all ages, crafting individualized treatment plans that address unique needs. She specializes in medication management for a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and ADHD.

In her free time, Dr. Asper enjoys traveling, pickleball, and volleyball.
