Founded in Chicago in 2016, Able Psychiatry emerged from a recognition that healing requires more than diagnoses and prescriptions; it needs a witness, a collaborator, someone willing to explore the complex space between suffering and possibility. Our psychiatric team combines clinical expertise with continuous learning, engaging with evolving perspectives in neuroscience and philosophy of mind that often precede formal research validation.

Our psychiatrists and psychiatric PAs read beyond the required journals, attend conferences that challenge rather than confirm our thinking, and regularly consult with colleagues when cases push the boundaries of standard approaches. What distinguishes our practice is staying intellectually honest about what we don’t know and continuously refining what we do.

TMS Therapy

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation uses targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate specific brain regions, effectively treating depression, anxiety, and other psychiatric conditions when traditional approaches haven’t provided relief. Sessions require no sedation and allow immediate return to daily activities. We offer a complimentary initial treatment to help you understand the process. We also provide Accelerated TMS (SAINT-adjacent) Protocol options for those seeking faster results.

Ketamine-Assisted Treatment

For treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and chronic anxiety, we offer medically supervised ketamine sessions combined with therapeutic support. Treatment occurs in our monitored clinical setting with a therapist present throughout.
